6 Fun Things to Do in Fairfield, OH

Winter or summer, we all need exciting things to do, and Fairfield has no shortage of options. It’s time to get out of the house with the family or head somewhere entertaining with your friends to find a new adventure and make new memories. These six fun things to do in Fairfield allow you to do just that. You might even end up wanting to go back to a few places once you experience them!

Wake Nation

At Wake Nation, “No boat, no problem!” This 10-acre lake features cables suspended 30 feet above the water, pulling you as you wakeboard, kneeboard, wakeskate, or waterski. Up to six people can be riding the water at a time, and during the summer months, you’ll see riders showing off some exceptional skills. With some practice, you’ll be able to do the same tricks with ease.

There’s a smaller, beginner pond where staff enjoys showing the ropes to all those new to watersports. Well, technically, they are cables and not ropes. You can even bring your own equipment or, if you don’t have any, can use theirs. Wake Nation makes for an exciting day on the water with your friends and family, conveniently located right in Fairfield.

Two Flight Indoor Skydiving Experience

Why do they call it Two Flight Indoor Skydiving Experience? Because it is a similar experience to two freefall skydives from a plane at 14,000 feet! These dives, however, take place in a vertical wind tunnel. With a flight deck surrounding the wind tunnel, your family and friends can watch as you experience all the same sensations as an actual skydive.

Once you’ve gotten your one-on-one pre-flight training from your accredited, experienced instructor, you are fitted with a flight suit, helmet, and goggles. Your instructor will get you started with your first skydive, and then you are on your own, hovering and spinning just like you would during a real dive. If you’ve always wanted to skydive, but the thought of jumping out of a plane is a bit overwhelming, Two Flight Indoor Skydiving Experience offers the next best thing.

Sky Zone Trampoline Park

If diving isn’t your thing, perhaps jumping is the family-friendly indoor activity that will get your adrenaline pumping. Sky Zone Trampoline Park, located in Springdale, features a fully walled jumping arena and foam pits, basketball hoops, and so much more. Visit once or purchase a membership to jump more often. Toddler Time allows younger kids to enjoy jumping without bigger kids and adults getting in the way.

Perfect for any time of year and during any weather conditions, this indoor trampoline park is a great way to get out of the house and even get some exercise. Breakout Games

The escape room games first originated in Japan, and they’ve become quite popular here in the U.S. Breakout has two locations locally, the closest in West Chester. Each escape room challenge requires you and a team of your friends and family to work together, find clues, and solve challenging puzzles to win your way out of the room. You only have an hour, so you’d better think fast!

Play as an undercover agent in a dark alley working to stop a syndicate attack on the city in Undercover Alley, or try your hand at the Island Escape, trying to board a boat before the volcano erupts. Other escape room challenges at the West Chester location include Operation: Casino and Mystery Mansion. You’ll need to book your challenge in advance and need between two and seven players on your team.

Fairfield Fun Center

You can never go wrong with a day (or evening) spent on a challenging mini-golf course, smacking baseballs at the batting cages, and enjoying refreshments like burgers, fries, and ice-cold sodas. The Fairfield Fun Center has all those things plus unique surroundings with streams, trees, flowers, and more. It’s a natural respite from the stress of daily commitments.

Bring your family and friends, put down the cell phones, and enjoy some competitive fun. Make the Fairfield Fun Center a routine “get away” and invest in a bonus card. These cards are re-loadable and make purchasing rounds of golf, time at the cages, and ice cream effortless. Plus, they give you an extra percentage when you add funds to them.

Jungle Jim’s International Market & Cooking School

We couldn’t put together a list of fun things to do in Fairfield without including Jungle Jim’s International Market & Cooking School. Any time you visit Jungle Jim’s, you’re in for a fun, new adventure. Singing animatronic characters and other theatrics are always entertaining! For foodies, the 6.5-acre market features over 180,000 foods from 70+ countries, so there is always something new to try. Popular items include spices, olive oils, hot sauces, and beers from around the world.

You can also learn what to do with some of these unique and exotic foods at Jungle Jim’s Cooking School. The classes are constantly changing and rotating, so there is something different every time you visit. Learn to make bread, sushi, and ethnic dishes, or bring the kids in for a class designed just for them. Schedule your next party or event at the Oscar Event Center on-site.
