Tips & Tricks for the All-Star Game

After months of preparation, excitement, and mustaches taking over Cincinnati, the All-Star Game Weekend is finally here. No doubt you've made plans to experience some of the fun around the city, and we've got a few tips and tricks we found around the web to help you make the most of it.
  • Heading in from the suburbs? Get dropped off if you can, or park and walk to the city center. Navigating around downtown will be tricky, but Metro will be running throughout downtown and Over-The-Rhine every 10 minutes!
  • Didn’t snag tickets to the All-Star Concert featuring Demi Lovato for Saturday night? Grab some real estate at Smale Riverfront Park—you’ll be able to hear the concert fairly well, even without a ticket.
  • Want the All-Star game experience, but afraid of being trampled? Head across the river via a free water taxi service (noon-11pm daily) to Northern Kentucky for even more activities—not to mention, a great view. Covington put up a 50-foot Ferris wheel, complete with a sand beach for the kids and a 125-foot fun slide. BB&T Summer Celebration festival in Covington will run Thursday through Tuesday.
